What this cable does

The Tripp Lite N201-006-WH is a Category 6 patch cable built for voice-over-IP and general network links. It carries data at up to 1 Gbit/s over a 6 ft run with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends.

Who should use it and who should not

It suits installers who need a short, snagless white lead for switches, routers, modems, servers or network adapters in a rack or desk setup. Buyers who want longer runs, outdoor-rated jackets, shielded construction or fibre links should look at something else.

Installation notes

The moulded boot and strain relief let the connector click into a port without catching on adjacent cables, so routing through tight panels is straightforward. The only common snag is mixing this stranded 24 AWG patch lead with solid-core infrastructure cable, which can cause certification failures on permanent links.
