Right-Angle Waterproof Extension Cord

The Plugrand WA-003L1 is a 6-foot power extension cord built for outdoor use with an IP57 waterproof rating. It integrates an in-line on/off switch with an illuminated button for visibility at night. The right-angle plug design reduces strain on the outlet and fits tight spaces behind furniture or equipment. It is suited for household appliances, fountain pumps, and seasonal lighting.

Verify Outlet Type and Circuit Rating

Confirm your wall outlet accepts a NEMA 5-15P three-prong plug and that the circuit can handle the connected load. The cord uses SJTW 14AWG three-conductor cable rated for 15 amps at 125 volts AC. Do not exceed the cable’s ampacity even though the switch assembly carries higher ratings. Ensure the installation location allows the right-angle plug to seat fully without obstruction.

Replaces Standard Cords Without Switches

This cord upgrades a basic extension by adding a weatherproof inline switch so you can cut power without unplugging. The jump is worth it when devices lack their own switches or when the outlet is hard to reach, such as pool pumps or holiday light strings. It is not for buyers who need a longer run than 6 feet or who require a locking connector for vibration-prone equipment.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to use the Plugrand WA-003L1 extension cord?

The package includes the 6-foot right-angle extension cord with an in-line illuminated on/off switch. It has a NEMA 5-15P male plug and a NEMA 5-15R female receptacle, so it connects directly to a standard 125 V outlet and your device — no extra parts required.

Should I choose the 15 A or 20 A rating when buying this WA-003L1 cord?

The cable itself is 14 AWG rated for 15 amps continuous, while the integrated switch is rated up to 20 amps at 125 V. For safe continuous operation, size your load to the 15-amp cable limit; the higher switch rating simply provides extra margin.

What does the 1900-watt figure mean when I plug real equipment into this cord?

At 125 volts the 15-amp cable rating delivers a maximum of 1900 watts, so the total draw of all connected devices must stay at or below that level for safe operation.
