Entry-level two-line IP phone
The Polycom VVX 201 is a simple, reliable IP telephone with two lines and HD sound quality. It is designed for retail environments, call centres or shared areas such as lobbies and break rooms. The phone supports Power over Ethernet for straightforward deployment.
Dual 10/100 Ethernet ports
Two 10/100 Ethernet ports provide network connectivity and allow a PC to be daisy-chained through the phone. This single specification determines whether the device fits the existing cabling infrastructure. No Gigabit ports are present.
Two-line capacity for basic telephony
The handset comfortably handles two simultaneous calls with full-duplex speakerphone and Polycom HD Voice clarity. It runs out when a user requires more than two lines, Gigabit throughput or a colour display for advanced applications.

Questions about this item
What does the two-line capacity mean for daily call handling?
The VVX 201 supports two simultaneous SIP registrations so you can hold one call while answering or placing another without a second device.
How do the dual 10/100 Ethernet ports limit network speed?
Both ports negotiate at 10 or 100 Mbps so the phone and any downstream device share a Fast Ethernet link rather than Gigabit.
What mounting options does the 2200-40450-019 include?
The handset is designed for desktop use and has integrated mounting points for standard wall-mount brackets.
