Polycom SoundStation2 Extended Microphone 2201-07155-605

Extended microphone for SoundStation2

The Polycom 2201-07155-605 extended microphone connects to a SoundStation2 conference phone to widen the audio pickup area in larger meeting rooms. It is sold individually so you can add the exact number of units the table layout requires. Installation uses the proprietary port on the base unit and needs no external power supply.

Practical limits of the proprietary connection

Cable length restricts how far each microphone can sit from the base, so very long tables may need careful placement planning. The fixed connector means the microphones cannot be used with other conference phone brands or with SoundStation models that lack the matching port. Audio coverage improves for participants at the far end, yet the system still relies on the base unit’s built-in processing and speaker.
