Entry-level IP phone for office cubicles

The Polycom VVX 250 is a corded VoIP handset built for everyday business use. It delivers HD Voice audio through a full-duplex speakerphone with Acoustic Clarity Technology for professional conversations. The handset supports open SIP protocols and includes a 2.8" color LCD display with context-sensitive soft keys for navigation. It is ENERGY STAR rated for energy efficiency.

Four-line capacity with Gigabit Ethernet headroom

The phone handles four simultaneous lines for typical office workloads and provides dual-port Gigabit Ethernet switching for network connectivity. Audio clarity holds up in standard cubicle environments, though the handset lacks expansion module support for higher line counts. Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3 af) supplies the unit without a separate adapter in most deployments.

Desk deployment with PoE or optional AC power

The VVX 250 connects directly to a network switch via two Gigabit ports, passing throughput to a downstream PC while drawing power over Ethernet. An optional AC adapter (not included) is required only where PoE is unavailable. Hearing aid compatibility and a mute button support accessibility and privacy needs without extra peripherals.

Questions about this item

Will the VVX 250 work with my existing SIP-based PBX that runs older firmware?

Yes, the VVX 250 uses open SIP support so it registers with any standards-compliant SIP server regardless of firmware age, and the dual-port Gigabit Ethernet switch passes traffic through to your PC without re-cabling.

How do I confirm the 2.8" color LCD and HD Voice are functioning after I plug it in?

Make a test call and verify the display shows caller ID on the color screen while the full-duplex speakerphone delivers clear, echo-free audio with Acoustic Clarity Technology active.

Does the box contain the AC power adapter or must I order it separately?

The product title and description confirm the power adapter is included in the box; no separate AC adapter purchase is required for desktop deployment.
