Shielded Aluminum Electrical Box

The Pomona Electronics 2417 is a screw-on shielded enclosure built from aluminum with a blue enamel finish. It suits installers who need a compact junction point for protected wiring runs. Buyers who require a larger internal volume or a different mounting style will need another solution.

Thermals Noise and Power

As a passive metal enclosure the box generates no heat, draws no power and produces no audible noise during operation. Its aluminum body and enamel coating simply house the connections without active cooling or electrical consumption.

Included Screws and Closure

The package supplies the mounting screws required for the screw-on cover, so the installer can secure the enclosure immediately. No additional sealing hardware or specialised tools are bundled with the unit.

Questions about this item

How do I secure the screw-on cover on the 2417 box, and which step is often missed?

Use the included screws to fasten the cover; the step often missed is checking that all screw threads engage fully before final tightening.

What maintenance will the enamel finish on the 2417 box need over time?

Inspect the enamel for chips or corrosion periodically; touch up any damaged areas with compatible enamel paint to maintain shielding integrity.

At what depth limit does cable crowding become an issue inside the 2417 box?

The internal depth is 1.13 in; exceeding this space with too many conductors makes cover closure difficult and can strain connections.
