Wireless cheque capture

The POS-X 995ED048300333 is a new check scanner that reads documents with a 1D CCD sensor. It connects to a host device over Bluetooth and includes a cradle for charging and storage. The unit is designed for point-of-sale environments where wired peripherals would clutter the counter. Its compact form allows staff to move the scanner to the customer rather than passing paper back and forth.

Mobile merchants and queue-busting staff

Businesses that process cheques away from a fixed till benefit from the cordless link and included cradle. Operations needing multi-line OCR, MICR data extraction or high-volume batch feeding will not find those functions here. Buyers who require a direct USB connection or a ruggedised housing for outdoor markets should evaluate other devices.
