100W USB-C Power Adapter

This PowerPortnerLink charger delivers up to 100 watts through a USB Type-C connector. It accepts 100-240 volt input at 50-60 hertz for worldwide use. The unit includes the adapter and a power cable in a black finish. It is sold new and replaces Dell part numbers DA100PM220, LA100PM220, HA100PM220, DA100PM23, LA100PM230 and HA100PM230.

Suits most Dell USB-C laptops up to 100W

The adapter works with Precision, Latitude, XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, OptiPlex and Chromebook models that charge via USB-C at 100 watts or less. It also covers 90W, 65W and 45W devices. Buyers whose laptops require more than 100 watts or use a barrel connector cannot use this charger.

100W maximum output over USB-C

The single specification that decides fit is the 20 volt, 5 amp, 100 watt maximum output through the USB Type-C port. If the laptop demands higher power or a different connector, this adapter will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 100 W USB-C charger stay cool and quiet when it runs all day at full load?

The adapter delivers up to 100 W at 20 V 5 A and accepts 100-240 V input; it has no fan, so operation is silent, and normal warmth is expected under continuous maximum output.

What cable or connector must I already have for this charger to work with my laptop?

Your laptop needs a USB-C port that supports Power Delivery charging; the package includes the AC adapter and a detachable mains lead, so no extra cable is required if the port matches.

Will this 100 W adapter safely charge an older Dell that originally shipped with a 65 W or 90 W barrel charger?

It only works on models that charge through USB-C; it cannot power laptops that rely solely on a barrel connector or that need more than 100 W.
