Wideband Directional Antenna for Fixed Wireless

This Poynting directional outdoor antenna covers 698 to 3800 MHz across three distinct bands with 11 dBi gain on the lower two and 3 dBi on the upper band. It terminates in an SMA male connector with a 7 metre cable run. The white radome is rated IP 65 and IK 08 for weather and impact resistance.

Suited for Rural LTE and WiMAX Links

Installers pointing a fixed router at a distant cell tower gain the most from the narrow beamwidth and high forward gain. Users needing omnidirectional coverage, MIMO spatial diversity or indoor-only mounting should look at other form factors.

Handles 2G Through Early 5G Bands

The antenna comfortably serves GSM 900, 1800, UMTS and LTE bands up to 2700 MHz plus the 3400 to 3800 MHz range. It does not extend into higher 5G millimetre-wave allocations above 3800 MHz.

Questions about this item

What router or modem connector does the SMA male plug on this antenna fit?

The antenna terminates in an SMA male connector, so your router or modem must provide an SMA female port to accept it directly.

Will the 7 metre cable reach my indoor equipment if I mount the antenna on an exterior wall?

The supplied low-loss cable is 7 metres (23 feet) long, which typically spans from an outdoor mast or wall bracket to an indoor router in most residential installations.

How can I verify the antenna is delivering the specified gain after installation?

Aim the directional panel toward the nearest cell tower, then compare the router's reported RSRP or signal-strength readings before and after connection; an improvement of several dB confirms the 11 dBi gain in the 698-960 MHz and 1710-2700 MHz bands is active.
