64GB dual-connector flash drive

This 64GB flash drive combines a Lightning connector with a USB 3.0 interface for direct file transfer between iOS devices and computers. It targets iPhone, iPad and iPod users who need local backup without relying on cloud services. The gold finish matches current Apple device colours. Apple MFi certification confirms compatibility with supported iOS hardware.

USB 3.0 and Lightning speed limits

The USB 3.0 interface operates at its standard 5 Gbps signalling rate when connected to a compatible host port. The Lightning connector is restricted by the iOS device controller, so real-world throughput will be lower than the USB 3.0 maximum. No USB 3.1 or 3.2 features are present. Large video batches will take noticeably longer than the theoretical peak.

Plug-and-play with app dependency

Insert the Lightning end into an iOS device or the USB end into a Mac or Windows PC; no driver installation is required. The companion app handles one-button backup, fingerprint-protected access and direct photo storage on the drive. Users who skip the app setup lose the automatic backup and encryption features. The small 0.31 x 0.50 x 1.75 inch form factor can be misplaced easily.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 64GB model or is a larger capacity available for this iConnect Mini?

This specific model is offered only in a 64GB capacity. The Lightning and USB 3.0 interfaces are built into this single version, so there is no higher-capacity option to select within the same product line.

What does the USB 3.0 rating mean for actual transfer speeds when I plug the drive into my laptop?

USB 3.0 sets a theoretical ceiling of 5 Gbps, but real-world throughput depends on the host controller, file sizes and the drive's internal memory. Expect typical read speeds well below the maximum, especially when writing many small files.

How does the Lightning connector work with my iPhone and does it need any special app?

The Lightning end is Apple MFi certified, so it connects directly to iPhone, iPad or iPod without adapters. The companion app handles one-touch backup, fingerprint locking and direct photo storage on the drive itself.
