PQI iConnect Mini 16GB dual-connector drive

This 16GB flash drive combines a Lightning connector and a USB 3.0 plug in a single gold-coloured body. It is built for iPhone, iPad and iPod users who also move files to Mac or Windows PCs. The Apple MFi certification means the Lightning end works with iOS devices without compatibility warnings.

USB 3.0 and Lightning speed limits

The USB 3.0 interface caps transfer rates at the bus maximum, while the Lightning side is limited by the iOS device controller. Real-world throughput will vary between host devices and file types. No faster protocol or alternate connector is present on this model.

Plug-in backup with fingerprint lock

Slide the drive into a Lightning port or USB-A socket and the companion app offers one-button backup of photos and videos. Fingerprint protection secures the stored data on the drive itself. Users without the app installed or on unsupported OS versions lose the automatic backup and biometric features.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 16GB gold model or is there another capacity in this iConnect Mini series?

The listing shows a single 16GB capacity in gold; no other sizes or colours are mentioned for this model.

What does the USB 3.0 rating mean for actual transfer speed when I plug this into my laptop?

USB 3.0 supports up to 5 Gbit/s, so large photo libraries move noticeably faster than on USB 2.0 ports.

How does the Lightning connector work with both iPhone and Mac or PC?

The MFi‑certified Lightning end plugs directly into iOS devices, while the USB 3.0 end connects to Mac or Windows computers for two‑way file transfer.
