Ready-to-play desktop

The PRC X-FORCE Special Edition ships as a complete Windows 10 Home system built around an Intel Core i7-7700 quad-core processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.20 GHz maximum turbo. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD provide the capacity for modern game libraries and everyday multitasking. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 12 GB GDDR6 handles 1080p and 1440p gaming workloads. A 650 W 80+ Gold power supply and a 120 mm CPU air cooler keep the platform stable.

Connectivity and expandability

Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 cover wired and wireless networking without extra adapters. The motherboard uses an LGA 1151 socket on a 288-pin DIMM layout so memory upgrades stay straightforward. USB keyboard and mouse are included while the chassis omits an optical drive to save space. Integrated audio and the RTX 3060 display outputs handle sound and video without additional cards.

Upgrade path and fit

This system replaces an older pre-built that relies on a hard drive, 8 GB of RAM or an entry-level graphics card. The jump is worthwhile when faster load times, higher texture settings and smoother frame rates at 1080p are the priority. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of memory, additional M.2 slots or a newer CPU platform should look at a different chassis. The 650 W unit also limits future graphics upgrades to cards with similar power draw.

Questions about this item

What does the Gigabit Ethernet port cap at in practice?

The Gigabit Ethernet port supports up to 1000 Mbps wired throughput.

What motherboard socket and form factor are needed for the i7-7700 and 120mm cooler?

The system uses an LGA 1151 board; the 120mm air cooler mounts to that socket.

How is the RTX 3060 12GB installed, and what step is often missed?

The card is factory-seated in the PCIe slot with its 12GB GDDR6 memory; the step often missed is connecting the GPU power cables from the 650W 80+ Gold PSU before first boot.
