Silicone bending cord prevents collapse when heat-forming 3/8 in. ID rigid tubing for custom water-cooling loops
The PrimoChill Rigid Tube Silicone Bending Insert Solid Cord is designed for DIY liquid-cooling builders who work with 3/8in ID acrylic or PETG tubing. It sits inside the tube during heating to prevent the rigid tube from collapsing, kinking or forming air pockets and flat spots on complex bends. This tool is not for builders using soft tubing or tubing with a different inner diameter.
The single 3-foot piece is made from durable silicone that stretches and lubricates for a tight fit inside the rigid tube. A tighter fit reduces the likelihood of surface cavities along the bend radius, making it suitable for more intricate routing. The solid construction is harder to remove than a tubed insert and cannot be stretched as far, limiting its reusability on very long continuous runs.
This cord upgrades from makeshift internal supports or hollow bending inserts that can allow tube collapse on tight radii. The jump is worth it when a build demands multiple complex bends in 3/8in ID rigid tubing and the builder accepts a more difficult removal process for a cleaner result. It does not suit installations where rapid insert removal or maximum stretch length are priorities.

Yes, the cord is designed specifically for 3/8in ID acrylic or PETG rigid tubing. It fits tightly inside to prevent collapse, kinking, air pockets and flat spots during heated bending.
The insert must feel very tight and require stretching plus lubrication to install. A loose fit means the tube will collapse when bent; the tighter the fit, the cleaner the bend radius.
The box contains a single 3-foot solid silicone bending cord only. Lubricant for insertion and a heat source for bending the rigid tube are not included and must be purchased separately.
