Add-On CD Player for Audi A5

USB Power and Flexible Mounting

The unit draws power from the car's USB port and requires no extra wiring or tools for installation. It can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the cable reaches, while track control stays on the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.

Replaces Missing Factory Equipment

This device restores CD capability that the manufacturer omitted, letting you play existing discs without ripping or streaming. The upgrade is worthwhile when you have a library of CDs you want to hear directly and the vehicle falls within the stated model years.

Questions about this item

Does the USB connection limit CD playback quality compared to a built-in player?

The USB link carries the audio stream without added compression, so CD-quality sound is preserved.

What clearance is needed to mount the unit vertically or horizontally?

The compact chassis fits in a centre console or glove box as long as the attached cable reaches the vehicle USB port.

Why must the first CD be left alone for two minutes after insertion?

The player indexes the disc during that time; interrupting it forces a full restart with a different disc and step one of the manual.
