Fitment and Purpose

This Pro Star Bluetooth USB CD player is built for 2019 through 2026 Ford Flex models that left the factory without a disc drive. It restores the ability to play audio CDs through the vehicle’s original sound system and is aimed at drivers who still rely on physical media for daily commuting or road trips.

Installation Checks

Verify that the Ford Flex has an accessible USB port capable of supplying power and data, because the unit draws its electricity and communicates through that single connection. The cable must reach the chosen mounting spot — centre console, glove box or another flat surface — without strain. No extra wiring, adapters or tools are required, but the USB port must be functional before you begin.

Sustained Use Behaviour

After the initial two-minute indexing period the player reads discs continuously while powered by the vehicle’s USB supply. Operation stays stable during long drives because there is no internal battery to deplete and no separate power brick to overheat. Steering-wheel and factory-radio controls remain active for track changes and volume, so the driver can manage playback without diverting attention from the road.
