Hyundai Sonata 2019-2026 add-on CD player

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to Sonata models from 2019 through 2026 that left the factory without a built-in drive. It draws power and communicates through the vehicle's existing USB port, so no extra wiring or tools are required for installation.

Extended indexing and steady playback

The unit needs roughly two minutes to index each disc before it is ready; interrupting that process forces a full restart with a different CD. Once indexed, the drive streams audio continuously through the car's own infotainment system without further delays.

Low-draw USB-powered operation

Because it runs entirely from the car's USB port, the player adds minimal load to the electrical system and generates negligible heat inside the cabin. The compact chassis can be placed vertically or horizontally on the console or in the glove box, staying silent during normal use.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-powered CD player add noticeable heat or electrical load when running continuously on long drives?

The unit draws power only from the car’s USB port and has no internal amplifier, so heat and electrical load are minimal during extended use.

Must my Sonata already have a factory USB port for this CD player to function?

Yes, the device plugs directly into the vehicle’s existing USB port; no extra wiring, adapters or power sources are required.

Will the CD player respond to the original radio and steering-wheel controls in a 2019-to-2026 Sonata?

The Pro Star unit is designed to let the factory head unit and steering-wheel buttons control playback once the USB connection is established.
