Lexus UX CD Player Compatibility

This Pro Star unit adds a single-disc CD player to 2019 to 2026 Lexus UX models that lack a factory optical drive. It connects through the vehicle's existing USB port and draws power from the same connection. The device is designed for owners who still prefer physical media over streaming or stored files.

Pre-Installation Vehicle Checks

Verify that your UX has an accessible USB port capable of supplying enough current for the player. Ensure the infotainment system firmware is up to date so it recognises the external drive. Allow two minutes for each disc to finish indexing before attempting playback, as interrupting this process requires restarting the setup with a different disc.

Build Integration And Placement

The compact drive can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, inside the glove box, or anywhere the supplied cable reaches the USB port. No extra wiring, adapters or tools are needed for installation. Once connected, track control is handled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons, keeping the cabin layout unchanged.
