External CD player for 2019-2026 Volkswagen Beetle

This Pro Star unit adds a single-disc CD player to vehicles that no longer include one from the factory. It is designed for owners of compatible Beetle models who still want to listen to their physical music collection through the car's audio system.

Plug-and-play USB connection

The device draws power and transmits audio through the vehicle's existing USB port, requiring no extra wiring or tools. Once indexed, playback can be managed using the factory radio or steering wheel buttons, keeping the driver's hands on the wheel.

Flexible mounting on centre console or glove box

The compact player can be positioned vertically or horizontally wherever the supplied USB cable reaches, such as the centre console or glove compartment. A printed instruction manual is included, and the installer must allow two minutes for each disc to finish indexing before use.

Questions about this item

Will the USB cable or CD mechanism need replacement after extended use?

The unit draws power and data through the vehicle USB port; no separate power supply or internal battery is used, so only the cable or drive mechanism could wear over time.

What limits continuous playback during long drives?

The player indexes each disc for about two minutes before playback starts; interrupting that process means restarting with a different disc.

Does the device generate noticeable heat or noise when running all day?

It is powered solely by the car USB port with no internal fan, so heat and mechanical noise stay minimal during extended use.
