Add External CD Player to Tiguan

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019-2026 Volkswagen Tiguan models that lack a factory unit. It draws power from the vehicle's USB port and requires no extra wiring or tools. The compact design mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box. Installation follows the included printed instructions.

Vehicle-Specific USB Compatibility

The single specification that determines fit is the factory USB port on 2019-2026 Tiguan models. The cable plugs directly into that port for a plug-and-play connection. Allow two minutes for the disc to finish indexing before use. Interrupting the process requires restarting the setup with a different disc.

Low-Power USB Operation

The unit runs entirely on USB power from the vehicle, adding minimal load to the electrical system. No external power supply or amplifier wiring is needed. Operation is silent with no moving cooling parts. Music control is handled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.

Questions about this item

How does the CD player connect to the Tiguan's factory system?

The USB cable plugs directly into the vehicle's USB port and the unit then communicates with the factory radio and steering wheel controls for playback.

What does the USB interface actually power and carry?

The single USB connection supplies power to the drive and carries the audio data so the factory head unit can read and control CDs.

Where can the unit be positioned inside the cabin?

It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the port.
