Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player 2019-2026 Ford Bronco Sport

Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player

The Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player adds a single-disc CD drive to 2019-2026 Ford Bronco Sport models that lack a factory player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port for power and data, requiring no extra wiring or tools. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the cable reaches. Factory radio and steering-wheel controls operate playback once the device is set up.

Practical limits of USB-powered CarPlay integration

The player draws all power from the car's USB port, so it works only while that port supplies sufficient current. A mandatory two-minute indexing period follows each disc insertion; interrupting this process forces a full restart with a different disc. Operation depends entirely on the factory head unit supporting CarPlay over USB, and the cable length restricts mounting locations to areas near the port.

Replacing missing factory CD players

This device restores CD playback for Bronco Sport owners whose vehicles left the factory without a built-in drive. It upgrades the audio experience for drivers who still rely on physical media collections and prefer not to rip discs or stream. The jump is worthwhile when the factory stereo already offers CarPlay but lacks a disc slot, and the buyer accepts the indexing wait and USB-only mounting constraint.
