Pro Star Bluetooth USB CD Player 2019-2026 Volvo S60

What this unit adds to a 2019-2026 Volvo S60

This Pro Star USB CD player restores disc playback to S60 models that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects directly to the vehicle’s USB port and is powered from that same connection, so no extra wiring or tools are required. The kit includes printed instructions for a straightforward setup. It is aimed at owners who still want to listen to their existing CD collections in the car.

Capacity and headroom: single-disc playback via USB

The device handles one standard audio CD at a time, indexing the disc in about two minutes before playback can begin. It reads conventional CDs through the car’s USB interface and relays control to the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons. It does not support DVD video, data discs with compressed audio files, or multi-disc changers, so buyers needing those formats will need a different solution.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

Because the unit draws all its power from the car’s USB port, its electrical load stays within the port’s standard output and adds no noticeable drain on the vehicle’s system. The mechanism runs quietly during disc read and indexing, producing only faint mechanical noise that is barely audible inside the cabin. No external power supply, fan or additional cooling is involved.
