Volvo XC40 CD Player Add-on

This Pro Star unit adds a single-disc CD player to 2019 through 2026 Volvo XC40 models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection, so no extra wiring or tools are required. The package includes printed instructions for a straightforward setup process.

USB-Powered Plug-and-Play Install

The device suits owners who still listen to physical CDs and want control through the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons. It mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the cable reaches the USB port. Buyers who need multi-disc changing, DVD playback, or auxiliary audio inputs should look at other solutions.

Single-Disc Capacity and Indexing

The player handles one standard audio CD at a time and indexes the disc before playback begins. Allow roughly two minutes for this indexing to finish; interrupting the process means restarting with a different disc and repeating the full installation steps. There is no internal storage or buffering beyond the single disc in the mechanism.
