USB CD Player for Hyundai Ioniq

This Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Hyundai Ioniq models that lack a factory CD player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box. Printed instructions are included for the setup process.

Drivers who still use CDs

The device suits owners who want to play their existing CD collection through the factory radio or steering-wheel controls. It is not for buyers who need multi-disc changing, Bluetooth streaming, or a head-unit replacement with its own screen. The kit requires a free USB port and enough cable reach for the chosen mounting spot.

Two-minute indexing requirement

After inserting the first disc, the system needs two minutes to finish indexing before it is ready for use. Interrupting this process means restarting the full installation sequence with a different CD. This single timing constraint determines whether the setup succeeds.

Questions about this item

Does the USB CarPlay connection support audio indexing and playback directly from the factory head unit?

Yes, the device plugs into the vehicle USB port to access CarPlay, allowing music control from the factory radio or steering wheel controls.

Where can the unit be positioned inside a 2019-2026 Hyundai Ioniq?

It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the port.

What is the critical step during set-up that causes failures if skipped?

You must allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before use; interrupting this requires restarting the process with a different disc.
