What This Player Does

This Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc slot to 2019-2026 Ford EcoSport models that left the factory without one. It draws power and data from the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally wherever the cable reaches.

Who Benefits and Who Does Not

Drivers who want to play physical CDs through the factory radio or steering-wheel controls will find this a simple plug-and-play upgrade. Buyers whose vehicle lacks a USB port or CarPlay support cannot use the device. Owners seeking DVD playback, Bluetooth streaming or multi-disc changers should look at a different product category.

The Deciding Specification

The player is built specifically for 2019-2026 Ford EcoSport vehicles with a USB port and CarPlay. Compatibility with any other make, model or model year is not supported. If your EcoSport falls outside that range or does not have the required USB connection, this unit will not function.

Questions about this item

Will the laser lens need cleaning discs over time?

The slot-load mechanism has no user-serviceable parts; dust can be cleared with a short blast of compressed air if discs start skipping.

What limits continuous playback during a long drive?

The unit draws all power from the car USB port, so the port's current rating is the practical ceiling for non-stop operation.

Does the drive get hot or noisy when left running all day?

It runs silently with no fan and stays barely warm because it only spins while a disc is actually being read.
