Hyundai Nexo CD Player Compatibility

The Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019 through 2026 Hyundai Nexo models that left the factory without one. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface so discs appear as a media source on the factory screen.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit draws all operating power from the car's USB socket and has no internal fan or moving parts beyond the disc mechanism. In normal use it adds no audible noise to the cabin and places negligible load on the vehicle's electrical system.

Bundled Accessories and Software Impact

A printed instruction manual guides the required two-minute disc indexing process that must complete before first use. Interrupting this step requires restarting the procedure with a different disc. The package includes no mounting hardware; the player can be placed vertically or horizontally anywhere the USB cable reaches.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star CD player in my Hyundai Nexo and what step causes problems?

Plug the USB cable into the vehicle USB port, then wait the full 2 minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using it — interrupting this step forces you to restart with a different disc.

What maintenance will the Pro Star USB CD player need over time?

The unit has a laser lens that can collect dust; occasional cleaning with a lens-cleaning disc keeps CD reading reliable.

What limit appears first during long drives with the Pro Star player?

Continuous USB power draw can cause the car port to throttle or shut off after extended use, stopping playback until the port resets.
