Add-on CD player for Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019-2026 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid models that lack a factory CD drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface. The unit is designed for drivers who still want to listen to their physical CD collection through the car's original audio system.

USB-powered operation with factory integration

The player draws power from the car's USB port, so no separate wiring or external power supply is required. Audio is routed through the vehicle's built-in speakers, and track control is handled by the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. A mandatory two-minute indexing period occurs after a disc is inserted before playback begins.

Flexible mounting on centre console or glove box

The compact chassis can be positioned vertically or horizontally anywhere the USB cable reaches, such as the centre console or glove compartment. Installation uses the supplied printed instructions and requires no tools. The device is intended solely for the listed Sonata Hybrid years and will not function in other vehicles.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star USB CD player in my 2019-2026 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the USB cable into the car's USB port, mount the unit where the cable reaches, then wait two full minutes for the first CD to finish indexing before ejecting it or the setup must be restarted from step one.

What maintenance or replacement will the Pro Star USB CD player need over time?

The only routine care is keeping the disc slot free of dust and debris; the laser lens may eventually need a cleaning disc if read errors appear, and the USB cable should be inspected for wear where it flexes near the console.

What limit appears first during extended use of the Pro Star USB CD player?

Continuous playback is limited by the vehicle USB port's power delivery; if the port cannot sustain the required current the player may pause or reset during long drives.
