Add a CD player to your Jaguar XE

This Pro Star USB CD player is designed for 2019-2026 Jaguar XE models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port to restore CD playback capability. The unit integrates with the car's existing CarPlay interface for media control. It is intended for owners who still use physical media in a modern infotainment system.

Plug-and-play installation with flexible mounting

The device draws power from the USB connection and requires no extra wiring or tools. You can mount the slim drive vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the cable reaches. Music is controlled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. A two-minute indexing period is required after inserting a disc before playback begins.

Replaces the missing factory CD slot

This unit upgrades a Jaguar XE that was delivered without a built-in CD player. The jump is worth it if your music library lives on discs and you want factory-style control without replacing the head unit. It is not for buyers who need Bluetooth streaming, digital file playback from USB sticks, or a second media source for rear-seat entertainment.

Questions about this item

How does the USB connection limit the CD player's performance?

The player draws power and data through the car's USB port, so read speed and buffering depend on that port's output rather than a dedicated supply.

What mounting options suit the Pro Star CD player in a Jaguar XE?

The unit can be placed vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the supplied cable reaches the USB port.

What installation step do buyers most often skip with this CD player?

Waiting the full two minutes for the disc to finish indexing before use; interrupting it forces a complete restart from step one.
