Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player 2019-2026 Jeep

This external CD player connects to the factory USB port on 2019-2026 Jeep Cherokee models to restore disc playback. It draws power directly from the USB connection and requires no extra wiring or tools. The unit works with the vehicle's existing CarPlay interface so tracks can be controlled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. Mounting options include vertical or horizontal placement on the centre console or inside the glove box.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The device is aimed at Cherokee owners who still want to listen to their CD collection after the manufacturer removed the built-in player. It suits drivers who prefer a simple plug-and-play installation that integrates with the original infotainment controls. Buyers whose vehicles lack a USB port or who need support for DVD video playback will not be served by this product. Anyone requiring Bluetooth streaming or auxiliary input expansion should consider a different solution.

Behaviour under sustained load

During extended drives the player remains powered by the vehicle's USB port without needing a separate supply. The manufacturer notes that each disc requires about two minutes to finish indexing before playback is stable; interrupting this process means restarting the procedure with a new disc. Once indexed, the unit continues reading the disc while the factory system handles audio output through the car's own amplifier. Heat dissipation is passive and the compact enclosure is designed for continuous operation inside the cabin.

Questions about this item

Does my 2019-2026 Jeep Cherokee need a factory USB port for this Pro Star CD player to work?

Yes, the unit draws power and data directly from the vehicle's USB port, so that port must be present and functional.

Will the Pro Star CD player let me keep using my factory radio and steering-wheel buttons for CD control?

The device is designed to pass CD playback commands through the existing factory radio and steering-wheel controls without replacing them.

How do I know the Pro Star CD player has finished indexing a disc and is ready to play?

Wait the full two minutes after inserting a CD; once that indexing period completes without interruption, the disc is ready for playback.
