Pro Star USB CD Player for Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc CD drive to 2019-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection. No additional wiring or tools are required for installation. The device works with the factory radio and steering wheel controls for playback management.

Vehicle compatibility 2019-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This unit is built specifically for 2019-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. It will not function in other makes, models or model years because the USB handshake and control integration are tailored to that platform. Buyers with a different vehicle cannot use this CD player.

Indexing behaviour under sustained use

Each inserted disc requires approximately two minutes to complete indexing before playback is reliable. Interrupting the process forces a full restart of the installation steps with a different disc. Once indexed, the player sustains normal operation through the vehicle's USB power without additional latency.

Questions about this item

How does the USB CD player work once it is plugged into the Jeep's USB port?

It draws power from the USB port and lets you control CD playback through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons after a short indexing period.

What interface does the player use and what does that limit?

The player connects via the vehicle's USB port, so it only works in models that have a compatible USB connection for CarPlay integration.

Where can the unit be mounted in the Grand Cherokee?

It can be placed vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the supplied cable reaches the USB port.
