Add an external CD player to your Jeep Renegade

This Pro Star USB CD player is designed for 2019 to 2026 Jeep Renegade models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects through the vehicle's USB port to restore CD playback capability. The unit draws power directly from the same USB connection. Music can be controlled using the original radio or steering wheel buttons.

Check your vehicle's USB port location

Installation requires a USB port that the supplied cable can reach for both power and data. The player must be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or another convenient spot. Verify that the cable length suits your chosen mounting position before ordering.

Allow two minutes for disc indexing after insertion

Each CD needs approximately two minutes to finish indexing before playback is fully ready. Interrupting this process can cause set-up issues that require restarting the installation from the beginning with a different disc. Once indexed, the player operates steadily from the USB power supply during extended listening sessions.
