Add CD Playback to 2019-2026 Kia Sportage

This external USB CD player restores disc playback for 2019-2026 Kia Sportage models that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects through the vehicle's USB port and integrates with Apple CarPlay so the factory radio or steering-wheel controls manage track selection and volume. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the cable reaches.

Plug into USB port and allow two-minute indexing

Installation is a simple plug-and-play affair: insert the cable into the car's USB port and follow the printed instructions supplied in the box. No extra wiring, adapters or tools are required. The critical step is letting the disc index for two full minutes before use; interrupting this process forces a complete restart with a different disc and a repeat of every step from the beginning.

Limited to vehicles with USB CarPlay support

The device relies on the vehicle's USB port to deliver both power and the CarPlay data link, so it only functions in 2019-2026 Kia Sportage models equipped with compatible USB CarPlay. Cars lacking that interface, or ports that supply only charging current, cannot support the player. The fixed cable length also restricts mounting locations to spots within reach of the USB socket.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Pro Star CD player is indexing correctly after plugging it into my 2019-2026 Kia Sportage USB port?

Wait two minutes after inserting a CD for the indexing process to complete. The unit will be ready when the factory radio or steering wheel controls can navigate tracks. If interrupted, insert a different CD and restart the setup from step one.

What comes with the Pro Star USB CD player and what extra items are needed for installation in a Kia Sportage?

The box includes the external CD player unit, a USB cable that plugs directly into the vehicle USB port, and a printed instruction manual. No additional wiring, tools or separate power supply are required for installation.

Which Pro Star CD player version should I choose for a Kia Sportage built between 2019 and 2026?

This single model is designed for 2019-2026 Kia Sportage vehicles. It adds an external CD player with CarPlay access via the factory USB port and works with existing radio or steering wheel controls.
