Pro Star USB CD Player for Mazda CX5

This Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc CD drive to Mazda CX5 models from 2019 through 2026. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the factory CarPlay system. The unit draws power from the USB connection so no separate power wiring is required. Installation is plug-and-play with no tools needed.

Suits owners who still use physical CDs

Drivers who want to play their existing CD collection through the car's original audio system will benefit. The device is controlled using the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons. Buyers whose vehicles lack a USB port or CarPlay support should look elsewhere. It also does not add Bluetooth, navigation or any streaming service.

Check your Mazda CX5 has a USB port and CarPlay

Verify the factory infotainment system includes CarPlay before ordering. Ensure a USB port is accessible and that the cable can reach your preferred mounting spot on the centre console or in the glove box. Allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing after insertion to complete the setup.

Questions about this item

Does my 2019-2026 Mazda CX5 need a factory USB port for this Pro Star CD player to work?

Yes, the unit plugs directly into the vehicle's USB port for both power and CarPlay communication, so a functional factory USB port is required.

Will the Pro Star CD player integrate with my Mazda's existing steering wheel audio controls?

The device is designed to let you control music playback using the factory radio or steering wheel controls already in the vehicle.

How can I confirm the Pro Star CD player has finished setting up after I insert a disc?

Wait at least two minutes for the CD to complete indexing; once that process finishes without interruption the player is ready to use.
