Mazda MX-5 CD integration

This Pro Star USB CD player adds a physical disc drive to 2019 to 2026 Mazda MX-5 models that lack a factory CD player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and works with Apple CarPlay, letting you control playback through the original radio or steering-wheel buttons. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation.

Single-disc capacity and indexing

The unit plays one standard CD at a time and draws power from the USB connection. After inserting a disc, you must allow roughly two minutes for the indexing process to finish before the tracks become fully accessible. Interrupting this step means restarting the setup with a different disc and repeating the full procedure from the beginning.

Flexible mounting and factory controls

The compact drive can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the supplied cable reaches the USB port. Because it integrates with the existing infotainment system, there is no need for an additional head unit or separate power supply, keeping the dashboard layout unchanged.
