Vehicle Compatibility

The Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player is designed for 2019 to 2026 Mitsubishi i-MiEV models that lack a factory disc drive. It adds physical media playback while retaining the vehicle's original infotainment interface and steering wheel controls.

USB Interface Constraints

The unit draws power and data exclusively from the car's USB port, so operation depends on that port supplying sufficient current. Playback cannot begin until the disc finishes indexing, which requires approximately two minutes of uninterrupted connection.

Installation Practicalities

Mounting is flexible; the player can be placed vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches the USB port. No tools or extra wiring are needed, but interrupting the initial indexing process forces a full restart with a different disc.
