Add CD Playback to Volkswagen Fox

This external CD player connects directly to the factory USB port in 2019 to 2026 Volkswagen Fox models. It restores the ability to listen to audio CDs through the original sound system without replacing the head unit. The device is powered entirely by the USB connection and requires no separate power wiring.

Plug-and-Play USB Integration

The included cable plugs into the vehicle USB port and enables control of CD playback via the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. No additional wiring, adapters or tools are needed for installation. A printed instruction manual guides the user through the setup process step by step.

Flexible Mounting Options

The compact unit can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, inside the glove box or wherever the USB cable reaches. The CD must index for two minutes before first use; interrupting this process requires restarting the procedure with a different disc.

Questions about this item

Will the USB cable or plug need replacing after frequent insertion?

The cable plugs directly into the car USB port with no extra wiring; normal USB wear applies and the cable is not user-serviceable.

What stops me from using the CD player continuously on long trips?

The unit draws power from the car USB port, so sustained use is limited by that port's current rating and the vehicle's electrical system.

Does the player get hot or make noise when it runs all day?

It is powered via USB with no internal fan; the mechanism is quiet and any warmth stays within normal USB-powered device levels.
