External CD Player for Volkswagen ID.6

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Volkswagen ID.6 models that lack a factory CD player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface, letting drivers access audio CDs through the infotainment system.

Plug-and-play installation with flexible mounting

No wiring, tools or external power supply are required; the unit draws power from the USB connection. The compact drive can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or anywhere the cable reaches, and playback is controlled via the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons.

Replaces the missing factory CD slot

This device restores the ability to play physical CD collections without replacing the head unit. The upgrade is worthwhile for owners who regularly listen to CDs and want a reversible, non-invasive solution that preserves the original dashboard layout.

Questions about this item

How does the USB connection power the CD player and enable CarPlay?

Where can the unit be mounted in a Volkswagen ID.6?

It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the port.

What is the critical step during first use that many people skip?
