Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player for Volkswagen ID.7

This external CD player connects to the factory USB port in 2019 to 2026 Volkswagen ID.7 models. It adds CD playback to vehicles that no longer include a built-in unit. The device is powered entirely by the USB connection and requires no additional wiring. Drivers who want to listen to their existing CD collection without replacing the factory stereo will find it fits their need.

Plug-and-play installation

The cable plugs directly into the car's USB port and the unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box. Printed instructions are included and the system is controlled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. The most common issue is interrupting the mandatory two-minute CD indexing process; if that happens, a different disc must be inserted and the full setup repeated from step one.

Steady playback after the initial indexing period

Once the disc finishes indexing, the player reads tracks continuously from the USB power supply without further delays. There is no internal battery or buffer to manage, so performance remains consistent for the duration of the journey. The unit draws minimal current and does not generate noticeable heat during extended use. Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming or digital file playback from a USB stick cannot use this device for those functions.
