Add an external CD player to your 2019-2026 Jetta

This Pro Star USB CD player restores disc playback for Volkswagen Jetta models from 2019 through 2026 that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface so you can control tracks from the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.

Plug-and-play operation

The unit draws power from the USB port and requires no extra wiring or tools. After inserting a disc you must allow two minutes for the indexing process to finish before using the player; interrupting this step means you have to restart the whole procedure with a different CD and repeat every instruction from the beginning.

Check your USB port location

Verify that your Jetta has an accessible USB port the cable can reach and that the factory infotainment system supports CarPlay, because the player relies on that pathway to appear on screen. The device can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or anywhere else the cable reaches.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-powered CD player generate noticeable heat or noise during long drives?

The unit draws power from the car's USB port and has no internal fan, so it runs silently and stays cool during extended use.

Must my Jetta already have a factory USB port and wired CarPlay for this to work?

Yes, the player plugs directly into the vehicle's existing USB port and requires the factory radio to support wired CarPlay for audio and control integration.

Will steering-wheel track buttons control CDs on my 2019 Jetta with the original head unit?

The device relays playback commands through the factory CarPlay interface, so the original steering-wheel controls operate CD tracks exactly like digital media.
