Pro Star CD Player for Volvo XC90

This external USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019 to 2026 Volvo XC90 models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle USB port and integrates with Apple CarPlay so the factory radio and steering wheel controls manage playback. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation.

Capacity and headroom

The single-slot mechanism handles standard audio CDs and draws all power from the USB port. It cannot play DVDs, Blu-ray discs or data discs with video files, and it will not function in vehicles outside the listed model years or in cars without an available USB connection.

USB interface limits

Operation depends on the vehicle USB port supplying enough current for the drive motor and laser. The CarPlay handshake requires roughly two minutes for disc indexing before the first use; interrupting that process forces a full restart with a different disc. Compatibility is limited to the specified Volvo XC90 range.
