Plug-In CD Player for 2019-2026 BMW 1 Series

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc slot to BMW 1 Series models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory CD drive. It connects directly to the vehicle’s USB port and draws power from that same connection. No extra wiring, adapters or tools are required for basic operation.

Vehicle-Specific USB Port Compatibility

The decisive specification is that the unit is built for the USB port found in 2019-2026 BMW 1 Series vehicles. If your car falls outside that model range or uses a different port type, the player will not communicate with the factory head unit. No other interface or vehicle application is supported.

Simple Mounting With One Critical Indexing Step

Installation consists of plugging the cable into the USB port and placing the player on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the cable reaches. The only common pitfall is skipping the mandatory two-minute CD indexing period; interrupting it forces a full restart of the setup procedure with a different disc.

Questions about this item

How does the USB-powered CD player work once plugged into my 2019-2026 BMW 1 Series?

It draws power from the car's USB port, indexes the inserted disc for about two minutes, then lets you control playback through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.

What connection does the player use and what functions does it enable?

A single USB cable provides both power and data, adding CD playback and Bluetooth audio streaming to the existing infotainment system.

Where can I place the unit so the cable still reaches the USB port?

Mount it vertically or horizontally on the centre console, inside the glove box, or any convenient spot within the cable's reach.
