Vehicle-Specific CD Player

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc CD drive to 2019-2026 Ford E-Transit models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port for power and data without extra wiring. The device is designed for drivers who want to play physical discs through the original audio system.

USB Port Limitations

Operation depends entirely on the vehicle's USB port supplying sufficient power and data bandwidth for the drive mechanism. The system requires approximately two minutes to index each disc before playback can begin; interrupting this process forces a restart with a different disc. Installation is confined to locations where the fixed cable reaches the port.

Factory Control Integration

The decisive specification is that track selection and volume are handled by the existing radio or steering-wheel buttons rather than a separate remote. Buyers who need a changer, DVD video playback, or an independent display should look elsewhere, as this unit only serves audio CDs through the OEM interface.

Questions about this item

Which model year range does this CD player cover?

It is compatible with Ford E-Transit models from 2019 through 2026.

How does the player work once plugged into the vehicle USB port?

It draws power from the USB port and lets you control CD playback using the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.

What USB standard does the connection use and what does it limit?

The device connects through the vehicle USB port for both power and data, so performance is limited to what that port supplies.
