Vehicle Compatibility

The Pro Star USB CD player is designed for 2019-2026 Infiniti QX80 models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that connection. No additional wiring or tools are required for installation.

Installation Requirement

The single specification that determines success is the mandatory two-minute indexing period after inserting the first CD. Interrupting this process forces a complete restart of the setup procedure with a different disc. Following the printed instructions without skipping this wait is essential.

Sustained Operation

Once indexed, the unit plays audio CDs continuously while powered by the USB port. Playback control is handled through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. The device can be mounted vertically or horizontally wherever the cable reaches the USB port.

Questions about this item

How does the USB-powered CD player work once it's plugged into my 2019-2026 Infiniti QX80?

The unit draws power from the vehicle's USB port, indexes the inserted disc for about two minutes, then lets you control playback through the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons.

What connection does the player use and what functions does that link provide?

A single USB cable carries both power and data, enabling CD audio playback and Bluetooth access through the car's existing infotainment system.

Where can I place the drive so it fits in the QX80's cabin?

The compact player can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, inside the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the port.
