Add a CD player to 2020-2026 Toyota Prius Prime

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc CD drive to 2020 through 2026 Toyota Prius Prime models that lack a factory disc player. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port for power and data, requiring no extra wiring or tools. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box.

For owners who still use CDs.

This device suits drivers who want to play physical CD collections through the factory radio and steering-wheel controls. Buyers who only stream audio or use digital files will not need an external disc mechanism.

USB-powered plug-and-play installation

The player draws power and communicates through the car's existing USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power harness or professional fitting. A printed manual guides the two-minute disc-indexing process that must complete before first use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star USB CD Player in my 2020-2026 Toyota Prius Prime, and what step do people often get wrong?

Plug the cable into the vehicle USB port, then allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before use. Interrupting this process requires restarting from step one with a different disc.

What maintenance or replacement will the Pro Star USB CD Player need later?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts. Keep the lens area free of dust and avoid exposing the mechanism to liquids or extreme heat to maintain reliable playback.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the Pro Star USB CD Player?

Continuous operation is constrained by the vehicle USB port's power delivery. If the port cannot supply sufficient current, playback may stop or the unit may reset until power stabilises.
