Fluorescent Yellow Masking Tape

Pro Tapes Pro-Artist-Neon Fluorescent Tape is a flatback paper tape designed for marking boards, colour coding and labelling tasks. The fluorescent yellow colour is blacklight responsive for high visibility in studios or theatres. It suits artists, stagehands and technicians who need clean, temporary marking.

Repositionable Adhesive Performance

The synthetic rubber adhesive delivers 40 ounces per inch of adhesion to stainless steel and removes cleanly without residue. Repositionable properties allow adjustments during layout work. Thickness measures 6.4 mils for consistent handling and unwind behaviour.

Flatback Kraft Paper Construction

Impregnated flatback kraft paper backing provides 35 pounds per inch tensile strength with high edge tear resistance. The 3 inch diameter core fits standard dispensers for easy unwind. Printable surface accepts flexo inks, markers, pens and pencils for custom labelling.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 1 in wide fluorescent yellow tape to a mixing console without trapping air bubbles?

Unwind the flatback kraft paper tape slowly from the 3 inch core, press the synthetic rubber adhesive down with a fingertip or squeegee from the centre outward, and lift and re-press any section that shows bubbles before the adhesive fully sets.

Will the adhesive lose its repositionable quality or leave residue after weeks on a marking board?

The synthetic rubber system is designed for clean removal; however, adhesion of 40 ounces per inch can increase with dwell time and heat, so test a short strip on the board first and replace the tape if residue appears.

At what point will the backing tear when I pull a long strip under tension during a live show?

The impregnated flatback kraft paper carries a tensile strength of 35 pounds per inch, so a 1 inch strip will resist up to that force before longitudinal tearing becomes likely.
