Professional gaffer tape for production use

Pro Tapes PRO-Gaff is a vinyl-coated cloth tape built for entertainment, production and industrial environments where secure adhesion and clean removal matter. The synthetic rubber adhesive grips irregular surfaces without leaving residue, making it suitable for cable bundling, equipment marking and temporary fixture holding. A matte finish reduces glare under stage or studio lighting. The tape contains no polyvinyl chloride.

Waterproof backing with abrasion resistance

The waterproof backing and abrasion-resistant construction allow the tape to withstand demanding conditions without degrading. Smooth, controlled unwind prevents tangling during fast-paced setups, while hand-tear capability eliminates the need for cutting tools. The adhesive maintains its bond across temperature swings common in live-event work.

Replaces standard duct tape on professional sets

Duct tape leaves sticky residue and fails on uneven surfaces; PRO-Gaff removes cleanly and conforms to irregular shapes. The upgrade is worth it when cable runs must be pulled without damaging flooring, when equipment labels must stay legible and peel off later, or when safety markings on stairs and exits need reliable hold for the run of a show.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 48 mm wide Pro-Gaff tape so it tears cleanly by hand?

Unroll the tape against the surface, press firmly along the length, then tear straight across the cloth grain; the synthetic rubber adhesive bonds instantly without leaving residue when removed.

Will the matte blue finish need re-coating or replacement after heavy stage use?

The vinyl-coated cloth resists abrasion and water, so the tape itself does not degrade; only the adhesive bond may fail after prolonged exposure, requiring a fresh strip.

At what point does the 55-yard roll run out during a long cable-bundling job?

The roll yields exactly 55 yards of 48 mm tape; when the core is visible the roll is finished and a new one must be started.
