Compact outdoor speaker for marine and patio use

The Pyle PLMR24B.5 is a single 3.5 inch three-way speaker built for boats, decks and poolside areas. Its sealed ABS housing and rust-proof mesh grilles protect the aluminium cone woofer, 1.75 inch midrange and super dome tweeter from moisture and salt air. The unit mounts flush in tight spaces using the included hardware and quick-connect terminals.

200 W peak handling with bass-reflex vent

Rated at 200 watts peak and 100 watts RMS into 4 ohms, the driver system covers 53 Hz to 21 kHz. A 24 oz magnet structure and rear bass-reflex vent extend low-frequency output without requiring a large enclosure. The passive crossover network keeps each driver in its optimal range during normal listening levels.

Included mounting kit and removable grilles

The package supplies all wiring, quick-disconnect terminals and mounting hardware for immediate installation. Rust-proof mesh grilles snap off for easy cleaning after exposure to spray or dust. No separate amplifier or signal processor is bundled, so the speaker connects directly to any compatible 4 ohm source.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the PLMR24B.5 speaker on a wall and what step is often missed?

Use the included hardware to secure the 5.25 x 3.75 x 3.75 inch cabinet, then attach the quick-connect terminals — the step people skip is tightening the terminal screws fully so the connection stays waterproof.

What part of the PLMR24B.5 will need cleaning or replacement after seasons outdoors?

The removable rust-proof mesh grills protect the aluminum injection cone woofer, 1.75 inch midrange and super dome tweeter; remove and rinse the grills periodically, and inspect the bass reflex vent for debris.

At what power level does the PLMR24B.5 reach its thermal limit during long playback?

The speaker handles 100 watts RMS continuously; sustained output above that level will cause the 4 ohm voice coils to heat up first, triggering protection or distortion.
