QCEs USB-4-1M Thunderbolt cable 40Gbps

This 3.3 ft USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable supports the USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 protocols. It delivers up to 40Gbps data transfer, 8K60Hz video output and 240W power delivery. The braided nylon jacket resists tangles and wear. It is built for professionals and creators who need a single high-performance link.

Suited for Thunderbolt 4

The cable works with laptops, tablets, smartphones, docking stations, SSDs, hubs and USB-C monitors that implement USB4 or Thunderbolt 4. Plug-and-play operation requires no drivers. It is not intended for devices that only support lower USB speeds or lack video and high-power delivery over USB-C.

Handles 40Gbps data, 8K60Hz video and 240W charging

These three capabilities run simultaneously over the 3.3 ft length. Performance will drop if the connected host or device does not support the full USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 feature set. The cable does not add bandwidth, resolution or power beyond what the endpoints provide.

Questions about this item

Do both of my devices need USB-C ports for this 3.3 ft cable to connect?

Yes, the cable has male USB-C connectors on both ends, so each device must provide a USB-C port for the plug to fit.

Will this cable still carry data if I plug it into a Thunderbolt 3 laptop instead of Thunderbolt 4?

The cable is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 hosts and will negotiate the highest speed both ends support, up to 40 Gbps.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 240 W charging after I connect it?

Check the power read-out on the laptop or charger; it should show a negotiated rate up to 240 W when both ends support that level.
