What it is and who it's for

The QianLink USB to 3.5 mm audio adapter comes as a two-pack of external stereo sound cards. Each unit adds a dual TRS 3-pole 3.5 mm jack for headphones and a microphone to devices that lack dedicated audio ports. It suits laptop, desktop, PS4 and PS5 users who want a simple plug-and-play upgrade for listening and voice chat.

What to check before ordering

Verify that your host device has a free USB-A port and supports USB audio class drivers. The adapter follows the CTIA standard for headset wiring, so confirm your headset uses the same pinout. Note that the PS3 USB interface does not carry audio signals, so this product will not function on that console.

Thermals noise and power draw

The adapter is bus-powered and draws minimal current from the host USB port. It has no moving parts and produces no audible noise during operation. The compact ABS enclosure remains at ambient temperature in normal use, making it suitable for continuous sessions without thermal concerns.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 2-pack and is any cable or driver needed?

The pack contains two USB-to-3.5 mm adapters, each with a headphone and a microphone jack. They are bus-powered and driver-free on Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X, Linux, Chrome OS and Raspberry Pi.

Both adapters are identical, so how do I decide which one to use where?

Each unit is the same 48 kHz stereo adapter with dual TRS 3-pole 3.5 mm ports. Use one for a desktop headset and keep the second for a laptop, PS4 or PS5 — no version or capacity choice exists.

What does the 48 kHz spec mean when I plug a headset into my PC?

The built-in DAC converts digital audio to analogue at 16-bit/48 kHz, giving CD-quality stereo output and microphone input without using the computer's internal sound hardware.
