What this charger is and who it serves

The QIOUZW SM65CS-01 is a 65W USB-C AC adapter built for HP laptops that charge through a Type-C port. It supplies up to 65W from a 100-240V input, making it suitable for travelers and office workers who need a single compact brick for multiple supported models.

When it replaces an older unit

This adapter replaces a lost or damaged 65W or 45W HP USB-C charger and adds headroom for systems that draw the full 65W. The upgrade is worth it when your current brick cannot sustain peak load during heavy workloads or when you want one spare that covers both power ratings across the listed EliteBook, Spectre, ProBook, ZBook and OmniBook families.

Practical limits of the USB-C power interface

The USB-C connector delivers up to 65W only; devices that require higher wattage will not charge at full speed or may not charge at all. The fixed cable length and single output mean you cannot power two laptops simultaneously, and the adapter lacks additional USB-A ports for phone or accessory charging.

Questions about this item

What USB-C connector size does the SM65CS-01 use for HP laptops?

The adapter has a USB-C tip that fits the HP Spectre X360 13 and EliteBook 840 G5 charging ports.

How do I connect the 65 W adapter to the mains and the laptop?

Plug the IEC C7 cord into the 100-240 V~1.5 A brick, then insert the USB-C tip into the laptop; the step often missed is seating the tip fully until it clicks.

Which part of the SM65CS-01 wears out first and needs replacing?

The fixed USB-C cable near the strain relief frays after repeated bending, so the whole 65 W unit is replaced when charging becomes intermittent.
