Outdoor Shielded Cat 6 Cable

This 250 ft black Ethernet cable is built for outdoor and direct-burial installation. It uses shielded Cat 6 construction with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on each end. The jacket is UV resistant and weatherproof so it withstands sunlight and moisture. It supports data transfer up to 1 Gbps at 250 MHz.

Suited for Permanent Outdoor Runs

Installers who need a single long pull between buildings, to a camera pole or to a wireless access point will find the length and shielding convenient. Buyers who only need a short indoor patch cable or who require Category 6A or higher bandwidth should look at other options. The cable is not designed for repeated flexing or as a portable fly lead.

250 ft Shielded Length Decides Fit

The 250 ft shielded length is the specification that determines whether this cable reaches the intended termination points without joins. Measure the exact route including slack before ordering. Exceeding the run length would require a coupler or switch, which adds cost and potential failure points.

Questions about this item

Will the RJ45 gold-plated contacts need re-termination after years of outdoor exposure?

Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion, so re-termination is not expected under normal outdoor use.

What distance limit applies first when running this 250 ft Cat 6 cable at 1 Gbps?

The 250 ft length stays within the Cat 6 1 Gbps channel specification.

Does the UV-resistant jacket stay cool enough when the cable carries full 1 Gbps traffic all day in direct sun?

Ethernet cables carry negligible current, so the jacket temperature remains close to ambient even in sunlight.
